
Danielle Tarmu brings nearly 17 years of distinguished legal experience to her campaign for Clark County District Court, Department 28. As a Nevada attorney licensed since 2009, she has dedicated her career to serving clients and the legal community with integrity, expertise, and unwavering commitment to justice.
Throughout her career, Danielle has demonstrated exceptional versatility and leadership in both plaintiff and defense work. She began her practice at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, where she honed her skills in insurance defense and general liability litigation. This foundation provided her with invaluable insight into all sides of legal disputes, preparing her for the balanced perspective essential to serve on the judiciary.
Danielle’s subsequent work at prominent plaintiff firms, including Eglet Wall (also known as Eglet Prince and Eglet Law) and Maier Gutierrez & Associates, showcases her exceptional abilities in high-stakes litigation. She has focused her career on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith cases. Her leadership extended to managing legal teams and overseeing all aspects of complex litigation, from discovery through trial and appeals. She has worked on many trials, her role focusing on law, evidence, procedure, analysis, and research, with the majority of these trials resulting in 7- and 8-figure verdicts, demonstrating her trial acumen, strategic thinking, and knowledge of law and procedure.
As a partner at Mainor Wirth Injury Lawyers and of-counsel at Brock Ohlson Injury Lawyers and Maier Gutierrez & Associates, Danielle managed substantial caseloads while providing strategic oversight to teams of attorneys and support staff. She developed comprehensive litigation strategies, directed discovery, and advocated vigorously for her clients in settlement negotiations and at trial. Danielle currently oversees the law and motion practice at Maier Gutierrez & Associates on all high-value, complex cases requiring sophisticated legal analysis, research, and writing, and assists with most trials. Her work encompasses strategy development, case evaluation, and appellate practice, allowing her to maintain the depth of expertise crucial for judicial service.

A born-and-raised Las Vegas resident who worked in the Las Vegas service industry for 5 years before law school, Danielle is deeply connected to the community she seeks to serve. She has shared her knowledge through numerous CLE presentations and published articles, demonstrating her commitment to legal education and professional excellence. She previously dedicated significant time to pro bono work with the Children’s Attorney Project at Legal Aid, reflecting her dedication to ensuring justice is accessible to all members of our community.

Danielle is married and a devoted mother to three young children: a six-year-old daughter and boy-girl twins who are nearly three. Her family also includes a feisty chihuahua named Richard and a yellow lab puppy named Pickle. When she’s not in the courtroom or working on complex legal matters, Danielle spends all her free time with her family, and occasionally tries to sneak in some leisure reading. This experience as a working mother has deepened her understanding of the challenges facing families in our community and reinforced her commitment to fair and compassionate justice.
